Hello lovely people of internet.
Maybe somewhere in the back of your mind you want to dress with more respect to the planet. The evidence of something going wrong with the climate is everywhere. We should all take action. Fashion is one of the major areas where we can improve. But how to dress with respect to the planet with no compromises on our style? Or maybe you have heard that "sustainable fashion is so expensive" that you have not even given it a try. I used to think in the very same way. I was excusing my purchases of fast fashion with my limited budget. And maybe your budget is not even that limited. We all just got used to the fact that 30 euros for a pair of jeans is the normal price and anything beyond that is called "too expensive". Making fashion so cheap is one of the marketing strategies to keep us buying new stuff and creating profits for the fashion giants. It looks good on the first sight, but as one of my frustrated clients shared with me recently: "it is just plenty of junk for 20 euros". Yes, buying cheap fashion does not make you happy. It is just a fast way to create a stuffed closet with nothing to wear in it. But you don't need to spend a fortune on your dream wardrobe! I am a living proof of concept. There were several years of my life when I was living on an existential minimum. I did not eat out. To be honest I did not even switch on the heating in my place because I had so little money. Buying any fashion was out of reach. It was not in my financial priorities. And yet I was always well dressed. I actually stopped shopping for 5 years and I always had something gorgeous to wear! The secret is: sharing. I had friends who were giving up their clothes and they knew I felt happy to adopt it. I was not even perceived as the poor friend in need. I was the wise badass friend who focused all her resources on herself. On becoming who she was meant to be and not on creating a fake image of who she is not. The secret to dress up as sustainably as possible and with zero budget is: mindset. Finding dignity and pride in inheriting clothes from others. I know it might be far from your comfort zone, but I wanted to tell you today: it is an option. And no one will ever know it. You will look amazing and save your money for the things that truly matter to you - like organic food, culture or education. You will ease up your family budget and you will be more serene about your finances if you put this in place. If you are ready to try it, let me know how it worked for you and how you feel after. And if it sounds intriguing and you want to know more, book a free call with me to chat about it. With all my love Kamila
